Private lessons are ideal if you have a specific issue or acute pain. You and I get the opportunity to sit down and talk about what is going on in person, making it possible for lessons to be tailored to your specific needs.

Through a combination of gentle, non-invasive, informative touch and verbal questions and instructions, we’ll explore how you move. I will help you bring awareness and new movement to blind spots that are causing you discomfort. For example, you might have a spot in your back that always hurts because it never gets to move, or you might be experiencing knee pain because your knees and toes point in different directions. By unpacking the details of what's causing your discomfort, you are given useful information and tools to let you take control of how you move so you can be more comfortable.

You might want to check out a private lesson if you...

  • need relief from acute or chronic pain, muscular or neurological
  • want to gain or maintain more flexibility, balance, or freedom of movement
  • are a dancer, musician, athlete, or performer who wants to explore new movement options
  • get repetitive stress injuries and want to break that pattern
  • suffer from migraines or other tension headaches
  • have whiplash from a car or bike accident

Lessons happen on a chair-height comfortable table while clothed, often sitting or lying down. Please wear comfortable clothing. Please allow an hour and fifteen minutes for your first lesson, and and hour for subsequent lessons.

One lesson is a great way to get a taste of the Feldenkrais Method, while weekly lessons build on each other and deepen learning. I recommend a minimum of 3-6 weekly lessons. Following those, many clients chose to continue weekly, every other week, monthly, or as needed. Functional Integration also pairs beautifully with Awareness Through Movement classes.

3 lessons: $285 ($95 each)
6 lessons: $540 ($90 each)
House call: $120

I cannot accept insurance, but getting reimbursed by your insurance company is sometimes a possibility.

Cancellation Policy
Please allow 24 hours advance notice for cancellations. There is a $60 fee for missed lessons and late cancellations.
